Advisory Board
Reclaim Foundation’s Advisory Board consists of mental health professionals that volunteer to create internal resources, offer guidance, and review external resources for accuracy in the mental health space before we include them in our materials. We are actively recruiting professionals interested in assisting the Reclaim Foundation in a variety of capacities. Alexa Douros
She/Her/Hers
Alexa is a mental health professional and educator. She graduated from UC Davis in 2019 with a B.S. in Biology Psychology and with a minor in Sexuality Studies. In May of 2021, she received her M.A. from University of San Diego in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Therapy. Alexa has been practicing since March of 2021 at a non-profit mental health clinic in San Diego. She engages in individual and group therapy with 18-24 year-olds who have experienced severe trauma and who have diagnoses of severe mental health conditions. Alexa is also a volunteer for RAINN's online hotline providing crisis intervention to surviviors of sexual assault, interpersonal partner violence, human trafficking, incest, and abuse. During her graduate program, she completed research and curriculum-development on including the Consensually Non-Monogamous community in mental health education. She currently presents her educational materials to organizations and associations interested in learning more about working with non-monogamous clients. Alexa has also been involved with trauma-informed mental health education and sexual assault prevention education since January of 2017. She is incredibly honored to support Reclaim Foundation in their commitment of encouraging a more trauma-informed society.
Mikaela Rowe

Mikaela received her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering with a specialization in medical devices from the University of California, Davis. She currently lives in Orange County where she works as an engineer on neurosurgery devices.
After persevering through her own life experiences, she felt passionate about giving back to her community and supporting survivors. Mikaela is a California state-certified Domestic Violence Counselor, and has had training to meet the requirements set by California Evidence Code 1037.1. She currently is employed by a women's shelter in Long Beach as a Client Advocate where she provides support to survivors of Domestic Violence in a multitude of ways and operates their 24-hour hotline.
Mikaela is honored to work with Reclaim Foundation to provide resources and support survivors of trauma as a trauma-informed care provider.
